Missing this place already. The staff was always very helpful. I can't believe some of the bad reviews. Maybe people are used to big American grocery chains but the people who work here genuinely care about the place and what they're selling. Maybe they didn't do the classic American "bend over backwards" for the customer but they were always genuine and polite. They had the best sangyek in Orange County. Their hot take out food was very good, not fancy restaurant status but great for takeout. Best Persian place to go and I would drive 40 minutes for their bread! Produce was always fresh. Regarding how busy it was, yes it was sometimes difficult to get around in the store but I believe that was part of the charm. It reflects how popular the grocery store is, not anything bad on it. Regardless I miss Super Irvine and Mission Viejo is too far away! North East County Orange County is in some serious need for a good Persian grocery store, especially since Wholesome Choice in Anaheim shut down a few years ago. Please come back!

Thank you for serving Irvine residents for at least two decades! I am sorry to see you leave Irvine because this location was sold by its owners. I hope you can soon come back to a different location in Irvine as you promised in your good-bye radio message! Good luck & hip hip Hurrah!

Cute little middle eastern market with great prices on fruits and vegetables. They also carry fresh Arabic bread which I get every time I shop there to make pita sandwiches. The cashier said they get them delivered fresh every day (except maybe Sundays?). Their prices on fresh herbs are fantastic! I haven't gotten anything from the meat counter so I can't speak to that. They also have a restaurant/deli but it doesn't open till 11am so I haven't gotten the chance to try that either. Based upon another Yelp reviewer, I picked up a box of rosettes in their bakery aisle and they are so light and crisp. I really enjoyed those.

I go here only for the bread they make in a fire oven. I wait for the fresh bread to come out. It's flat bread and I can't tell you what it's called but can't find it anywhere else. I love eating it right out of the oven. They wrap it on brown paper.

The grilled meat platters here are Da bomb!! There is a glass window where you can see the kitchen and the food being prepared. The Arabic bread is delicious and so is the the rice that comes with the platter. Staff wear masks and gloves. Looks and feels sanitary. It is also a grocery store where you can find Mediterranean spices.

I wish I lived closer to Super Irvine so I could visit them more often!!! The store is clean with fresh produce and other products.. They carry so many Persian goodies that you can't find in all Middle Eastern Markets..They even carry my favorite rice, "Sahel" that I haven't been able to locate in other Persian Markets..If you try this rice, you will never buy any other basmati rice again... I love the fact that they have gloves outside the door for customers to use, and wearing a mask is a must!!!

Stumbled upon this place while waiting for a to-go order at a nearby place. They limit how many people are allowed at once, we had to wait a minute. Let me tell you, this place is like spice heaven! And the prices, amazing! But soooo many different types of spices and whatnot. Loved the huge variety! The produce looked pretty good as well! We just did a quick peek in the store! But I definitely want to spend more time in there next time! The had a huge naan / flat bread section! Types of bread I've never seen but I'm in to it!

What's better than tasty bread that is made in front of you? Short answer....nothing. Long answer...maybe free bread for life that is made in front of you and delivered warm to wherever you are....but I digress..... Why is the bread great? 1) It's like 4 feet of goodness....it's so long and big! It comes out hot and you have to hold it in butcher paper because if you stick it in the plastic bag it will be a mess! It is very thin, but very satisfying. 2) It has amazing texture. The bread takes on different textures depending on how hot it is. It can be crispy when it comes from the oven. As it cools it can be steamy and soft. It becomes more chewy as it cools even more. 3) The flavor is really good. The bread is covered with sesame which adds a lot of flavor, but the whole wheat flavor gives the bread an earthy, wholesome taste that you cannot stop eating ...hot or cold. 4) Did I forget to mention it's under $3.00? I have come up with a short list of uses for this bread. Please let me know if you have additional ideas... 1) Peanut butter and jelly. I think this flat bread would be a great addition to any p b and j sandwich. You can spread it on as thick or as light as you want. I think the sesame will add to the sandwich. It's a no brainer. 2) Easy party hors d'oeuvres. You can use the sangak bread to make a massive rolled appetizer with anything you have in the fridge. Roll it up, cut it into slices, and serve. Boom! You are done! 3) If you are cold, you can just go pick up the bread and use it for a blanket. It's long and warm. And when you wake up from your nap...you don't have to move to get a snack....eat the blanket!!
